This rare antique (1939) hallmarked sterling silver golf trophy presented by The Rondebosch Golf Club is engraved as follows "R.G.C. - Bull Cup - 1939 - J. Curry". The trophy is hallmarked as follows "TS", (we are not able to identify the manufacturer) the "Anchor" assay mark, confirming it was made in Birmingham, England, the "Lion" passant, confirming it is sterling silver (925) and the letter "L", confirming it was made in 1935. The trophy weighs 48.8g (including the base screw) and is 7.8cm high (11.3cm high including the base) x 7.8cm long including the handles and 5cm wide. There is a slight dent in the back of the trophy.
