
This stunning boxed British hallmarked Edward VII sterling silver Christening fork and spoon set measures as follows: The fork is 15cm long and the spoon is 15cm long. The combined weight of the spoon and fork set is 70g. The handle on the set is engraved with the name Denis which could be buffed out by a jeweller.
The hallmarks on the set is as follows: The makers mark "JD & S" confirms the set was made by James Dixon & Sons, The Crown Assay mark confirms the set was made in Sheffield, The Lion Passant mark confirms it is British sterling silver (925) and the date stamp "H" confirms the Christening set was made in 1900.
The Christening set is in superb condition for its age, considering it is 122 years old. The set has spent its life in the protective hard case and is a superb find.
