This incredible set of six antique (1865) Victorian British made hallmarked "Samuel Smiley" sterling silver entree/ starter forks have a beautiful monogram on the handles. The set of six forks are 17.4cm long and have a superb combined weight of 301.38g. The hallmarks consist of the "SS" makers mark confirming it is an original Samuel Smiley set, the lion Passant confirming it is British sterling silver (925), the leopard Assay mark confirming the set was made in London, the letter "k" confirming they were made in 1865 and the 1838 to 1890 Queen Victoria duty mark stamp . The set is in fantastic condition for its age and there is absolute minimal/ normal age and usage related wear and tear.
