This wonderful ornate British made hallmarked sterling silver Table Mountain souvenir teaspoon weighs 13.88grams. The hallmarks on the teaspoon consist of the "R&P" makers mark confirming it is an original "Robert Pringle & Sons" piece, the lion Passant confirming it is British sterling silver (925), the Anchor Assay mark confirming the teaspoon was made in Birmingham and the date letter "D" confirming it was made in 1928. I am sure this was a souvenir spoon made to commemorate the opening of the cable car in 1929. The spoon is in great condition for its age and there is minimal/ normal age and usage related wear.
