This remarkably rare antique hallmarked Imperial Russian 875 proof silver engraved Judaica Kiddush pedestal cup dates to the late 1800's or very early 1900's and and has The Kokoshnik mark "AA" confirming that it was made under the Master Assay Anatoli Apollonovich Artysbasev. The AA mark was only used on Russian silver between 1899 and 1916. The hallmarks confirm that the Kiddush cup was manufactured prior to 1908 as the Women's head emblem is facing to the left. Tsar Nicholas II changed the head to face right after 1908. The Russian Cyrillic Script makers mark is stamped onto the cup, but we are unable to identify the manufacturer. The silver Kiddush cup measures 8cm high and has no visible dents or obvious scratches. The cup weighs 24.83g.
