Works great one shortfall is that there is no pot edge clamp to enable it to be ussed it as a candy Thermometer. Test with candy making and really works great just wish it has tgd stand.
i will be using it on Christmas day when smoking a turkey on my Webber compact kettle braai

Great easy to use thermometer for the price. if you are planning to use the magnet feature to stick on a fridge door, take care that it is strong enough. Apart from this its a really good tool.

It works very well and is excellent. It would have got a 5 star if the description had been better. It says nothing about it being a "braai thermometer" as it says on the packing. However, although you cannot put the base unit in the oven, the probe wire is flexible and long enough to put the probe in and have the unit outside.
